International USD variants. Compare the term as well as the monthly equivalent. A missing amount is not zero; taxes and optional extras can change the final bill.

A monthly comparison, not a promotional headline

Namecheap is represented here by Stellar and Stellar Plus on their standard monthly tariffs. The selected US data-center variants make a useful comparison for projects that do not want a multi-year prepaid term. Other billing periods, trials and locations can have different prices; this catalogue does not claim that the monthly tariff is the cheapest way to buy every Namecheap plan.

Stellar versus Stellar Plus

Stellar includes three websites, 20 GB SSD storage and 30 mailboxes. Stellar Plus offers unlimited websites and unmetered SSD storage, with AutoBackup included. Unmetered does not mean unlimited physical capacity or unrestricted file storage: acceptable-use, file-count and resource rules still apply. The smaller plan should not be selected on the assumption that it includes a guaranteed daily-backup service.

Costs and conditions

The table shows the selected Stellar and Stellar Plus standard monthly rates directly from our plan catalogue. No separate introductory discount is assumed for these rows. Promotions for SSL or domains have their own periods and conditions, so do not automatically treat them as permanent savings. Confirm taxes, extras and the chosen location at checkout.

Where it fits

These plans are worth comparing when monthly flexibility, cPanel and included mailboxes matter. For a new long-lived project, also compare the provider’s current annual offer against your expected renewal and cancellation needs. Our shortlist does not include independent performance tests or a promise that an unmetered plan can support any workload.

Stellar or Stellar Plus: what does the upgrade solve?

Stellar is the smaller choice for up to three websites that fit within 20 GB. Stellar Plus is useful when you need its daily AutoBackup service or a larger site allowance. Do not interpret unmetered storage as a file archive without limits. Compare the difference in the standard monthly rates against a requirement you actually have, rather than assuming the larger label is always necessary.

When to compare another provider

These selected monthly tariffs avoid the long initial term shown for Hostinger and HostPapa. That flexibility can matter for a temporary project, but the monthly rate can be higher than a multi-year promotional equivalent. Hostinger is an alternative for a longer commitment; HostPapa offers a different cPanel package whose renewal needs confirmation. Verify the selected country variant and distinguish any annual discount from the standard monthly rows shown here.

What stands out

  • Standard monthly variants clearly identified
  • cPanel and email in the selected plans
  • AutoBackup on Stellar Plus

What to check

  • Selected prices use the US data-center variant
  • Unmetered storage remains subject to use limits
  • Introductory annual promotions are not these tariffs

Questions about Namecheap

Why is this different from the advertised annual price?

We selected standard monthly tariffs to show a short billing option; annual discounts and trials have different conditions.

Does Stellar include guaranteed daily backups?

Not in this comparison. Stellar Plus includes AutoBackup; do not rely on internal backups as a guaranteed daily service.

Is unmetered storage unrestricted?

No. Acceptable-use, file and resource limits still apply.

Should every small website choose Stellar Plus?

No. Compare the website allowance and AutoBackup requirement. The larger package is useful only when its included features solve your needs.
